I grew up in Glastonbury. My fondest memories are being a member of NUTSY (Temple Sinai, Newington) and one particularly fun sleepover down in the southwest corner of the state. Temple youth was so important to my son as well.
Over the years, this Jewish community brought my family together and provided meaningful experiences for each of us in different ways. It is a spiritual home, the source of friends, and helped my son become a leader and build his Jewish identity.
Kol Haverim is the perfect place to model Jewish identity, leadership and involvement, commitment, philanthropy, inquisitiveness, silliness, thoughtfulness, and kindness. We have had it all!
I believe that involvement in and support of community are key traits of a life well-lived, and leaving an after-lifetime gift is part of the legacy of giving that my family has taught me.
