Tzedaka is the community obligation each of us has as citizens. When we give, we grow into the people we are intended to be. We become connected with the life of a community.

We have reached out to many communities in far reaching places. When we do, the effect is magnified — not only are we helpful, but we build relationships. Every local United Way and every Jewish Federation have received grants from us; and we are members of many synagogues and friends of 5,000 small public libraries.

The Legacy commitment to support the Greater Hartford Jewish community is an effective way to meet our tzedaka goals. I thank them for making it so easy for us to be helpful and to be connected.
